About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java-Entwickler (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Nürnberg. In this strategic role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming our existing systems within the insurance sector.

Your expertise will contribute to the development and integration of a new, Java-based policy management system, supporting our technological evolution. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex backend solutions, influencing the future architecture of our application landscape. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless implementation, testing, and deployment of software solutions, driving innovation and efficiency within our organization.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java application development with several years of professional experience. A passion for software engineering and a commitment to quality are essential.

You should have a solid understanding of backend development, system integration, and architectural design. A relevant educational background such as a completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker/in, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification is required. Additionally, you should demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and system landscapes, proactively identify optimization opportunities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic replacement of the existing policy management system in the insurance sector and actively shape the technological realignment of our application landscape.
• Lead the integration of a new Java-based policy management system, contributing your expertise in architecture, development, and technical conception.
• Independently resolve technical challenges during the migration process and the integration of new software solutions.
• Take an active role and responsibility across all phases of software development, from conception and development to testing and deployment.
• Collaborate closely within an agile team environment, working with business units, service providers, and IT operations to align tasks and objectives.
• Contribute to shaping the technological future of the company by proposing innovative solutions and improvements.
