Junior Database Administrator

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Support the team in the administration and further development of database environments.
• Contribute to defining standards and participate in the provision of decentralized database systems.
• Conduct initial performance measurements and assist with tuning measures to increase system efficiency.
• Analyze existing processes and contribute ideas for automation.
• Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues, growing into areas like solution architecture and consulting.
• Take on partial tasks independently after onboarding and continuously develop your skills.

What You'll Need

• Initial exposure to database systems, preferably Oracle, through studies, internships, or project experience.
• Analytical thinking and a structured approach to work.
• High degree of initiative, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, DataGuard, Golden Gate, Exadata, or ODA is a plus.
• Understanding of ITIL process frameworks is beneficial.
