Junior Software Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing tech company that is disrupting the monetization and subscription management space. They envision a world where anyone can build a global business without worrying about the complexities of monetization, helping clients launch innovative services faster and automate financial processes with their cloud platform.

The Role

• Implement and maintain microservices for the payment domain using Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and Kubernetes.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases in the backend and React, TypeScript, and Material UI in the frontend to process complex payment flows efficiently and securely.
• Adhere to Clean Code principles to ensure extensibility and readability, especially where financial flows and state changes require precision.
• Utilize tracking, alerts, and monitoring to proactively identify technical issues before they impact customers.
• Support users and customer support with technical problems, finding quick and pragmatic solutions.
• Ensure sustainable product development through automated testing at all relevant stages, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality.

What You'll Need

• Initial professional experience in software development with solid Java skills;

  experience with Spring Boot or other technologies from the tech stack is a plus.

• Interest in digital payment and financial processes, with a willingness to delve into new technical topics.
• Curiosity about clean system architectures and an interest in Domain-Driven Design, Microservices, and Hexagonal Architecture; practical experience is beneficial.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and development, questioning existing code to create maintainable solutions.
• Proficiency in German (min. B2) and good English communication skills.
