• *About The Role**

We are seeking a motivated Network and Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of modern network, server, and virtualization concepts for our diverse range of maritime projects. In this role, you will work closely with experienced colleagues, supporting the design, deployment, and documentation of complex infrastructure solutions aligned with international standards and best practices.

Your responsibilities will include creating visual documentation, automating configurations using tools like PowerShell and Bash, and actively participating in security assessments such as vulnerability scans and penetration tests. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within a high-tech environment, gaining expertise in networking, virtualization, and security while supporting innovative maritime communication solutions.

• *Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess a formal qualification such as an apprenticeship or degree as a Fachinformatiker Systemintegration or an equivalent qualification in IT. Previous practical experience gained through internships, student jobs, or entry-level positions in IT is advantageous but not mandatory, as we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn. You should have a solid understanding of IT fundamentals, including network technology (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing), Windows and Linux server operating systems, and virtualization concepts. Fluency in German (spoken and written) and at least B2-level English skills are required for effective communication in our international environment. Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a proactive approach to work are essential. Familiarity with MS Office applications, collaborative tools like ticket systems, Teams, and Git, as well as excellent communication skills, are desirable.

• *Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement modern network, server, and virtualization solutions in accordance with international standards.
• Create clear, visual documentation and diagrams for infrastructure components, ensuring comprehensive and understandable records.
• Configure and deploy infrastructure components practically, utilizing automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash, while maintaining thorough documentation of all changes.
• Assist the Security team in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, analyzing results, and developing mitigation strategies to safeguard client infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with team members, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuously develop expertise in networking, virtualization, and security topics.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable operation of communication systems and infrastructure.
