The Role
- Spend approximately 70% of your time on hands-on development in production code.
- Dedicate the remaining time to team leadership, including code reviews, pairing, and unblocking team members.
- Drive the establishment of team standards, processes, documentation, and a robust review culture.
- Ensure predictable delivery and high-quality output within the team.
- Support two developers transitioning to PHP backend development.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO/Architect on architecture and project direction.
What You'll Need
- Several years of production experience with a strong senior developer background.
- Proficient in at least one backend language, with a willingness to work with PHP.
- Proven ability to lead technically through mentorship and example, rather than authority.
- Desire to grow into a technical lead role; prior lead experience is a plus.
- Fluency in German (B2/C1 level) is mandatory for team collaboration.
- Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka/Redis Streams) and Linux/NixOS is beneficial.
