About The Role We are seeking a talented Fullstack Web Developer specializing in PHP and WordPress to join our team in Viersen. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within agile teams that value flat hierarchies, individual creative freedom, and impactful projects.

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for both frontend and backend tasks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant, and visually appealing websites. Your work will encompass implementing and customizing WordPress themes, developing plugins, and creating clean interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as React. You will collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, and clients to translate visual concepts into functional digital experiences.

The role involves managing mid to large-sized projects, often exceeding 500 hours, with a focus on technical excellence and user experience. If you enjoy working on diverse projects in a collaborative environment and have a passion for innovative web development, this position is an ideal fit.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have prior experience in web development, particularly with PHP and WordPress environments. You should appreciate writing clean, maintainable code and prefer developing solutions over relying on pre-made templates.

Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential, along with familiarity with Docker and Git for version control and containerization. Knowledge of frameworks and tools such as Bootstrap, Symfony, and Twig is required, while experience with React or Vue.js is considered a plus. Additional familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopware, Shopify, Magento, or Gambio will be advantageous.

You should demonstrate a self-driven, goal-oriented, and structured approach to work, with excellent communication skills in both German and English. A proactive attitude, combined with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving, will ensure success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fullstack web applications with a focus on PHP, WordPress, and modern frontend technologies.
• Utilize Symfony and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL to implement and enhance project functionalities.
• Convert screendesigns into responsive, user-friendly WordPress themes and templates.
• Ensure the technical and visual quality of websites through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
• Optimize website performance, including load times and responsiveness, to support SEO and user engagement goals.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Assist in maintaining and supporting existing client websites, providing technical support and updates as needed.
• Participate in planning, executing, and reviewing large-scale projects, often exceeding 500 hours, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
