About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analytics Engineer (d/m/w) to join our Data Analytics Team in Freiburg. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our central data platform that serves as the backbone for all data-driven initiatives within the organization. Your expertise will enable us to harness the power of data to inform strategic decisions, develop innovative analytics solutions, and ensure data quality, security, and sustainability across the enterprise.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into scalable and reliable data solutions. Your technical proficiency, combined with your ability to communicate effectively, will be instrumental in fostering a data-driven culture and supporting the company's digital transformation journey.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data engineering, stakeholder management, and cloud infrastructure. You should demonstrate a strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and have excellent communication skills in German (minimum C1 level). Your background should include expertise in DevOps practices, data modeling, and cloud platforms like AWS.

Proficiency in SQL, TypeScript, and Python is essential, along with familiarity with modern data tools and frameworks. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, MLOps, and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop is considered a plus. You should be proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of quickly grasping complex technical and business contexts, structuring them clearly for diverse audiences.

• Conceive, implement, and operate robust data processes and data-driven services that facilitate high-quality analytics.
• Create and maintain data pipelines to ensure consistent data quality and reliable supply of data to data scientists and analysts.
• Manage user and data administration within the platform, ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.
• Evaluate emerging database solutions, tools, and frameworks to optimize our data infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to standards related to data security, compliance, and system stability.
• Participate actively in agile development cycles, serving as a communication bridge between technical teams and business units.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and automation processes to improve platform reliability and performance.
