About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analytics Engineer (d/m/w) to join our Data Analytics Team in Freiburg. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining our central data platform, which serves as the backbone for all data-driven initiatives within the organization. As a key member of the team, you will combine technical engineering expertise with strategic thinking and effective communication to ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust data architectures. Your efforts will directly impact the quality, security, and sustainability of our data landscape, enabling the company to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will also play a vital role in fostering a culture of data excellence and innovation across the organization.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset. You should have proven experience in data engineering, cloud infrastructures, and stakeholder management. Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) is essential, along with a good command of English.

A solid understanding of agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and experience working across organizational boundaries are highly valued. Technical proficiency in DevOps practices, data modeling, and modern database solutions is crucial for success in this role.

Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, programming languages such as SQL, TypeScript, and Python, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code, MLOps, and Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop) will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, and a collaborative approach to work.
