• *About The Role**

As a Python Developer (m/w/d) specializing in Backend & Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the data-driven core of our services. Your primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, and optimizing backend systems that handle large-scale data processing and support critical business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable APIs, streamline ETL processes, and enhance data pipelines. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of our data infrastructure. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility to balance remote work with on-site collaboration at our location in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. This position is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about data engineering, backend development, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.

• *Qualifications
• Completed vocational training or equivalent professional experience in software development or related fields.
• Proven expertise in Python with several years of practical experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, particularly with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Ability to analyze and improve performance of existing code and workflows through profiling and tuning.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira and ServiceNow for ticket management and support.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including containerization with Docker and version control with Git.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is advantageous.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• *Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs primarily using Python and FastAPI.
• Serve as a key contact for technical support, handling and resolving service requests and tickets efficiently.
• Develop and enhance business-critical ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and processing.
• Analyze existing workflows to identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations for speed and efficiency.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, ensuring robust database interactions with systems such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and facilitate deployment via Docker containers.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth operation and deployment within our GitLab/Nomad environment.
• Contribute to technical architecture discussions and document solutions clearly within our internal documentation systems.
