• *About The Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer (m/w/d) specializing in Backend and Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing our data-driven services, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our backend systems. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance backend services, as well as managing critical ETL processes that underpin our business operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and backend development, contributing directly to the core functionalities that support our organizational objectives.

• *Qualifications
• Completed vocational training or a comparable qualification/experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Python with several years of practical experience in backend application development.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL, and experience in designing and optimizing ETL processes.
• Experience in performance tuning, profiling, and optimizing code for efficiency and speed.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira and ServiceNow, along with experience handling support tickets (2nd/3rd Level).
• Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
• Ideally, experience with DevOps practices, including writing Dockerfiles, and familiarity with Git (GitLab).
• Understanding of application monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for clean code and efficient data processing.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and tackling complex technical challenges.
• *Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs primarily utilizing Python and FastAPI frameworks.
• Act as a central point of contact for technical support, handling, coordinating, and resolving service requests and tickets in ITSM systems such as Jira and ServiceNow.
• Develop and enhance critical ETL pipelines and data processing workflows, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Analyze existing data workflows and Python scripts to identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements for faster processing and better resource utilization.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, ensuring seamless integration with our database systems including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and collaborate with the DevOps team to containerize applications using Docker, supporting deployment and operational stability.
• Contribute to the architecture of new data solutions, documenting technical specifications and processes in internal wikis and Jira.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to implement best practices in data management, automation, and system performance.
