About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analytics Engineer (d/m/w) to join our Data Analytics Team in Freiburg. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our central data platform, which serves as the backbone for all data-driven initiatives within the company. Your expertise will enable the organization to leverage data effectively, supporting strategic decision-making and innovative analytics use cases.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into scalable and secure data solutions. Your ability to bridge technical engineering with methodological clarity and effective communication will be essential to ensure the robustness, security, and sustainability of our data landscape.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering, with proven experience in building and managing scalable data platforms. You should have excellent communication skills in German (minimum C1), with a track record of stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, and cross-team collaboration. A solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset are essential.

Technical proficiency in DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker), cloud infrastructures (preferably AWS), and data modeling is required. You should be well-versed in SQL, TypeScript, and Python, with additional knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, MLOps, and Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop) considered a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business contexts are vital for success in this role.

• Evaluate emerging database solutions, tools, and frameworks, integrating the most effective technologies into our infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and stability standards across all data processes and platforms.
• Participate actively in agile development cycles, acting as a communication interface between technical teams and business units to align objectives and expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
