Python / Django Developer, Geodata (PostGIS)

Summary

Build the map and geodata functions of two public-sector web applications, from capture and validation of spatial data to embedding analytics dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop geodata features in Django / GeoDjango on PostgreSQL with PostGIS.
• Build capture, import and processing of spatial data (for example shapes, WMS/WFS services, coordinate systems).
• Embed disy Cadenza workbooks or other third-party services into the applications using the postMessage() Web API.
• Develop REST endpoints for spatial data.

Must-have

• At least 2 years of Python and Django development.
• PostGIS and spatial SQL in production applications.
• At least one project with capture or processing of geodata.
• German at C2 level, university degree, personal reference projects above EUR 200,000 since 2021.

Good to have

• disy Cadenza, or embedding third-party web apps via postMessage().
• Web mapping (OpenLayers, Leaflet, MapLibre) and OGC services.
• Environmental data (water, nature conservation, energy).
• Keycloak, Bootstrap, container deployment.
• Public administration projects.
