Senior C++ Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design and develop high-end C++ components for medical desktop applications, focusing on performance, stability, and scalability.
• Architect, implement, and review complex multithreading and parallelization concepts.
• Analyze, refactor, and optimize existing C++ codebase (QT, CMake, Conan, MSVC, embedded CEF).
• Work closely with Architecture, QA, and Product Management to modernize legacy systems.
• Utilize AI agents and tools like Claude Code to accelerate refactoring, code analysis, and legacy modernization.

What You'll Need

• Several years of senior-level experience in professional C++ development, ideally in high-performance, highly parallelized desktop systems.
• University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Deep expertise in modern C++ (C++ 14/17/20), multithreading, concurrency, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Qt, CMake, Conan, MSVC, and integrating components such as CEF.
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
