We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development department specializing in composite insurance applications. In this role, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end development and maintenance of applications within an agile framework. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex business requirements into functional, efficient software solutions that support our clients' operational needs. Collaboration is at the core of this position, as you will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and your development team to ensure seamless implementation of features and continuous improvement of our development processes.

The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience. Deep expertise in Java development, particularly with Java and Jakarta EE, is essential. Familiarity with modern development tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required. Practical experience working within agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily project management and documentation is expected. Knowledge of Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented attitude. Fluency in German at least at C1 level is essential to effectively collaborate within our organization.
As a Senior Fullstack Java Developer, your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining applications within an agile environment, with a specific focus on composite insurance systems.
