Software Architect

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Lead architecture for one or more product lines within the Ambulatory Engineering Architecture Team
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across heterogeneous systems (C++ desktop, Java, Python, Kubernetes-based Cloud services)
• Drive modernization initiatives from cloud-native to AI-native architectures
• Coach engineers and leads, establish reusable patterns and reference implementations, and contribute to architecture community standards
• Integrate AI tooling, agents, skills, and workflows into architecture concepts and system design

What You'll Need

• Several years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect in large, distributed SaaS or Enterprise systems
• Proven architectural responsibility and strong decision-making skills
• Excellent university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical field
• Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture (Microservices, Cloud-native, Security-by-Design, Eventing/Integration patterns)
• Broad technical foundation across C++, Java, Python, and Kubernetes/Cloud stacks
• Demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering, ideally with practical experience in AI-native coding tools and pipeline design
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills
