You will join a team of engineers designing operating software and application software for embedded systems in safety-critical equipment, which is working on next-generation controllers for more electrical aircrafts.

Responsibilities

Contribution to the development of safety-critical embedded real-time software for aircraft systems according to RTCA/DO-178B guidelines (Level A to Level D)

Autonomous working according to company’s and project-specific processes

Support the tailoring of development processes to project-specific needs

Support the specification of software high-level requirements

Development of software low-level requirements

Software programming in C programming language

Software debugging, integration, and analysis

Support the design of internal and external interfaces

Design/adaptation of existing solutions for new applications by using dedicated/standardized tools

Support the definition of “Statement of Work' to be presented to potential suppliers

Configuration control/change management of all items produced using applicable tools (e.g. Synergy, Dimensions) according to the applicable Configuration Management Plan

Qualifications/Experience Needed

Graduate Software Engineer (or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired by other means)

Experience in software development for at least 3 years

Good English capabilities, both spoken and written, at least B2 (CEFR)

Specification of high-level and low-level software requirements (SRS, SDDD)

Programming experience in C and/or Assembler programming language

Desired Additional Skills

V-model development cycle (preferably of safety-critical software acc. to RTCA/DO-178)

Experience with the usage of hardware in the loop test facilities

Python Test Script Language

In-Circuit Debugger (Lauterbach)

MISRA guidelines (C)
