Software Engineer

We're hiring for a leading global provider of premium sensors for security and surveillance missions, recognised as a world market leader in missile warning systems and submarine periscopes. This company has a strong presence in radar, optronics, and electronic protection systems markets.

The Role

• Develop software for embedded systems, from requirements analysis to programming modules
• Conduct hardware/software integration, verification, and validation
• Create and execute test procedures, documenting results at component and system levels
• Design PC-based test applications and special measuring instruments
• Engage in formal change management processes and software reviews
• Provide customer support regarding system functionality and collaborate with System Engineering

What You'll Need

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Professional experience in embedded software development, hardware-related software development, and real-time programming
• Experience with configuration management, process models, and requirements analysis
• Proficiency in network communication (TCP/IP), serial interfaces (RS232, RS422, RS485), and bus systems (MIL-STD-1553, CAN-Bus)
• Good knowledge of UML for software modeling and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks), C/C++
• Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
