The Role
- Develop innovative AI-powered software solutions for microscopy applications, including image processing and agent-based approaches.
- Design, tune, optimize, and productively deploy models for microscopy applications.
- Manage the entire software lifecycle: from requirements analysis, data preparation, model development, and implementation to integration, validation, and documentation.
- Ensure high-quality standards in close collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
- Coordinate and align development activities within the project team.
What You'll Need
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Natural Sciences, with several years of professional experience in modern software development with a clear focus on AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
- Solid experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), computer vision methods, and integration of LLMs and modern AI frameworks (APIs, vector databases, agents); knowledge of classical image processing is a plus.
- Very good knowledge of Python and common libraries for data processing, automation, and model deployment; experience in C# and C++ is advantageous.
- Background or demonstrable interest in microscopy, life sciences, biology, or pharmaceuticals is a significant advantage.
- Very good communication skills in German and English, team orientation, and an independent, goal-oriented work style.
