Platform Engineer | Hybrid

We're hiring for a leading international technology group renowned for its innovation and global reach. This employer is seeking a skilled engineer to advance their secure, scalable platform infrastructures.

The Role

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and maintainable Linux-based platform infrastructures.
• Lead the evolution of operating system architecture across various product platforms.
• Create and update system concepts, including interface management, in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and integrate product features and software components within the platform architecture.
• Build, maintain, and update Linux-based OS images for cross-platform system environments.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance the platform infrastructure.

What You'll Need

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical field.
• In-depth knowledge of developing and customizing Linux/Unix-based systems, ideally with Yocto focus.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, coupled with expert Linux/Unix system skills.
• Fluency in German and good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Yocto/bitbake embedded Linux build system.
• Familiarity with IT security in Linux environments (e.g., SELinux, AppArmor).
