About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in AI initiatives to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and implement AI-driven solutions that directly enhance our business processes. Your primary focus will be on translating relevant use cases identified in collaboration with various departments into robust technical solutions, overseeing their lifecycle from conception to operational deployment.

You will play a key role in integrating AI technologies into our existing system landscape, including ERP, WMS, shop systems, logistics, and business intelligence platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of software engineering expertise, AI knowledge, and process understanding, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. You will also stay abreast of emerging AI technologies, evaluate their applicability to our business, and establish modern development practices to support continuous innovation.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with proven expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale, mission-critical systems, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
• Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, system integrations, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI-supported software development, including tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Practical experience with large language model (LLM) based solutions such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and tool integrations.
• Technical judgment, pragmatism, and a high standard for quality, combined with an understanding of when AI can add value and when human oversight is essential.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP and Laravel or Python is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive AI initiatives within the company, guiding projects from initial idea through to operational deployment.
• Design and develop technical concepts and architectures that are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
• Integrate AI solutions seamlessly into our existing systems, including ERP, WMS, e-commerce platforms, logistics, and BI/Data environments.
• Implement AI-powered tools and establish contemporary development practices to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
• Take responsibility for testing, quality assurance, security, data privacy, monitoring, and ensuring the reliable operation of AI solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Business Systems, DevOps & Platform teams, BI/Data specialists, departmental stakeholders, and external partners to deliver integrated solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging AI technologies, assess their relevance, and recommend pragmatic approaches to adoption that benefit our processes and systems.
