Stellenbeschreibung

Your Tasks

  • Design, implement, and govern a holistic testing strategy across all IaaS products encompassing unit, integration, staging/smoke and production (live) testing, acceptance, configuration, disaster recovery, and performance testing.
  • Build robust, reusable automated test primitives and scaffolding specifically for OpenStack, Kubernetes, distributed API backends and middleware.
  • Deploy automated test reporting into our development and release workflows. Ensure every code change is automatically verified and gated before it can be deployed to production.
  • Restructure test execution to shift testing earlier in the development lifecycle and dependency chain. Improve pipeline performance while maximizing meaningful code coverage.
  • Catch defects before they reach staging, and validate the performance limits of our infrastructure components under load.

Your Profile

  • You have extensive, senior-level experience as a Software Architect, Platform Engineer, or Backend Developer designing complex, highly distributed systems or cloud environments.
  • You might not have held a "Test" title before, but you are the engineer on the team who naturally advocates for system testability, architects robust CI/CD pipelines, and treats infrastructure-as-code as a first-class citizen.
  • You have excellent programming skills in Golang or Python for building our custom backend tooling and automation frameworks.
  • You bring deep, hands-on expertise in testing backend systems, ideally targeting Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and complex REST/gRPC APIs.
  • You have a proven track record of designing systems for scale, with an understanding of how to benchmark, profile, and stress-test high-performance backend components.
