Software Engineering Manager

The Role

• Lead and develop an agile software development team within the Meta product area, fostering an environment of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from planning to release, continuously improving agile processes to ensure predictable releases, high software quality, and engineering excellence.
• Act as a technical sparring partner for the team, supporting informed architecture and technology decisions for scalable, maintainable, and future-proof software solutions using C#/.NET and Angular.
• Drive the strategic adoption of modern AI-powered development tools and establish innovative work methods to enhance productivity, quality, and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with product management, software architecture, and management to align technological excellence with product strategy and customer requirements.

What You'll Need

• Proven success in technically and disciplinarily leading software development teams, with a strong ability to mentor, develop, and achieve top performance.
• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, combined with a strong commitment to quality, analytical excellence, and a passion for achieving technological breakthroughs.
• Solid practical experience in developing and architecting modern software solutions with C#/.NET, good knowledge of modern frontend technologies like Angular, and a firm understanding of professional software architectures.
• Deep knowledge of modern Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and professional release processes, along with practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, a high degree of initiative and team spirit, and fluent German and English language proficiency.
