About The Role Trovarit is seeking a Web and Artificial Intelligence Developer (m/f/d) to create and enhance web-based applications and develop data-driven and AI-enabled solutions. Working with colleagues across development and business teams, you will turn real business needs into useful, reliable software. You will contribute to solutions involving generative AI, data pipelines, and vector databases while helping the company explore how emerging technologies can deliver meaningful value.

This position is suited to a developer who enjoys combining practical software engineering with curiosity about AI. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of work, and grow your skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a comparable qualification. Relevant vocational training or equivalent practical software development experience will also be considered.
• Initial experience contributing to software development projects, ideally involving web-based or AI-enabled applications.
• Experience using AI tools in software development, such as for code generation, debugging, or test creation.
• Knowledge of web development;

  experience with PHP and JavaScript is an advantage.

• Knowledge of generative AI concepts, particularly prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience or familiarity with data preparation, data analysis, data pipeline development, and vector databases.
• Very good written and spoken German for team collaboration, communication with business departments, and working with German-language technical documentation.
• An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach, an understanding of business contexts, and the ability to identify appropriate AI applications.
• Interest in new AI models, technologies, and methods, along with the motivation to learn independently and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Trovarit’s web-based applications, using AI-supported development tools where appropriate.
• Design and implement software solutions that use data and artificial intelligence to address practical needs.
• Build generative AI applications using techniques and tools such as prompt engineering, RAG, and orchestration frameworks.
• Prepare and analyze data, and develop or improve data pipelines that support AI-enabled products and services.
• Work with vector databases and integrate them into applications.
• Assess business questions, identify suitable opportunities for AI, and translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Critically review AI-generated outputs for quality, plausibility, and relevance before they are used.
• Collaborate closely with business departments and the development team, share ideas, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of products and processes.
