I truly find it rather difficult to provide a summary of myself as my personality would require pages. Nevertheless, here is a genuine attempt of describing the most important aspects of my academic life:
- I am an enthusiastic geologist with a never-ending passion for knowledge and science. Curiosity is essentially my middle name.
- I graduated first in my class at the Hashemite University in Geology and then decided to pursue my master's in Environmental Geoscience in Germany.
- In 2020, I completed my internship in Luminescence Dating (Absolute age dating with luminescence on quartz (OSL) and feldspar (postIRIR)) and left an excellent impression on my supervisor.
- I worked with the Helmholtz Institute of Freiberg and Freiberg Instruments for my master thesis ''Optically-stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating of quartz & Infrared stimulated Luminescence dating (IRSL) – testing appropriate laboratory illumination for sample preparation'' and completed it in 2022 despite facing very challenging hurdles.
- I also have lab experience in soil preparation as I worked with Eurofins in the sample preparation lab.
- I do consider myself to be a bit of a software nerd and I have intensively used programs such as ArcGis and PCI Geomatica for GIS and remote sensing. I also have a solid background in the programming tool R and have benefited from it by applying it to statistical analysis. I do also have a fair understanding of Python.
