MimoSense GmbH (Software Engineer)
Darmstadt, Germany Oct 2024– Sep 2025
- Architected and developed Python-based software (using agile software development method) that handles data acquisition, processing, and API layers, simplifying feature delivery and future maintenance; and complemented it with an intuitive client dashboard that streams real-time sensor data and supports self configuration options.
- Co-developed embedded firmware in C/C++ for Arduino Nano and ESP32 platforms, delivering reliable real-time sensor interfacing and laying the groundwork for low-latency data transmission.
- Researched, designed, and benchmarked advanced signal-processing algorithms for proprietary ballistocardiography (BCG) sensors, enabling robust extraction of vital-sign parameters and significantly improving heart-rate, respiratory-rate, and motion-detection accuracy by reducing noise artifacts.
- Created and deployed the company’s web presence with JavaScript/Node.js, integrating React on the front end, RESTful services on the backend, and managed DNS, SSL, and cloud hosting

Phoenix Contact (Computer Vision Engineer)
Master’s thesis activity Bologna, Italy- Bad Pyrmont, Germany Sep 2023– Mar 2024
- Trained (using custom datasets) and evaluated the performance of multiple object detection models (such as YOLO and SSD-Mobilenet) to recognize plastic containers in river streams using an IP camera footage
- Optimized the models by availing of the quantization technique in order to improve the inference speed on proprietary embedded devices
- Implemented object tracking and counting algorithms on real-time footage with the help of OpenCV library, further I developed a web-app using Flask that allowed the data to be transmitted to a cloud platform and monitored remotely using Grafana service

Network Propaganda (Web Developer)
Ferrara, Italy Jan 2021– Mar 2023
- Developed web applications using the server-side framework CodeIgniter and BootStrap as a front-end framework
- Configured and maintained different host domains and servers, which were used for deploying the web apps or for internal system backups
- Built websites using WordPress and integrated an efficient automation of the newsletters based on client’s data
