• NGS data analysis for industry partners: designed and executed NGS analyses of barcoded AAV libraries for industry collaborations, presenting results and recommendations directly to partners.
• Protein engineering: established AI-guided binder design (BindCraft) in the lab, from compute setup to design triage; 20 designs advanced to experimental validation.
• Vector quality control: developed an R-based long-read sequencing analysis framework for AAV vector quality control, enabling assessment of genome integrity, truncation profiles, and residual DNA contamination.

• Technology transfer: established ONT nanopore sequencing in the laboratory end to end — library preparation, run design, basecalling and downstream analysis — enabling 5 projects and 2 publications that were previously not feasible in-house.
• Epigenetics of gene therapy: characterised the epigenetic regulation (DNA methylation, chromatin state) of AAV-delivered DNA, combining EM-seq, CUT&Tag and MNase-seq with custom analysis pipelines; findings inform decisions on AAV serotype selection.
• Mentoring: supervised 3 BSc theses and 6 rotation students, including experimental design, code review and thesis feedback.
• Communication: presented at ASGCT Annual Meetings 2024 and 2025 (Meritorious Abstract Travel Award both years).
