I am an R&D Engineer at Institut für Kunststofftechnologie & -recycling e.V. (IKTR), where I develop technological solutions in plastics processing and formulation of recipes. I have a Master's degree in Polymer Engineering from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. My core competencies include polymer characterization and polymer processing.

In my current role, I identify research topics and develop eligible project ideas, as well as evaluate the recyclability of HDPE and PP rigid packaging materials according to RecyClass and APR standards. I also take charge of project management, including reporting and presentation of the research results. I use my skills in communication, research, and technical support to collaborate with my colleagues and partners, and to deliver high-quality outcomes.

I am motivated by the challenge and opportunity to contribute to the advancement and sustainability of the plastics industry and to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.

Master Thesis: "Numerical Simulation and Experimental Validation of Single-Screw Compounding"

Assess mixing efficiency in single screw extruder blending PLA and PBS polymers based on two research approaches: numerical simulation and direct compounding followed by testing. The evaluation relied on Capillary number calculation. Experimental methods included SEM, mechanical testing, rheological analysis, laser flash analyses and morphological characterization.
