My name is Eala Mardell and I am a multidisciplinary designer from Ireland. I graduated from the Limerick School of Art and Design, where I received a First Class Honours in Graphic Design Communication. It was there that I discovered my passion for undertaking challenging, collaborative and meaningful projects.
I have a strong understanding of the creative process and translating ideas into compelling visual designs. I consider myself to be a dynamic and versatile designer with a broad skill set and an appreciation of minimalistic design.
Over the past six months, I have been living and working in Berlin, Germany as a freelance Graphic Designer. Previously, I worked as a Graphic Design intern for Smart Insiders, a trip and event planning organization in Madrid, Spain. My role was creating visuals and graphic elements for all marketing needs and ensuring all visual assets reflected the creative direction of the brand.
Insiders, I also created on-brand content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. I was involved in all stages of the process, from shooting content to video editing and posting on social media.
After working in Spain, I worked as a Design intern for Friendzone.studio, a Berlin-based creative collective. At Friendzone.studio, I worked on a range of projects from social media campaigns, designing interfaces or websites and mobile applications, branding, client presentations and pitches and design for print. I worked alongside their partner project, The Journal, a global photography collective.
Journal, I developed a unique identity for their brand and created innovative strategies for social media. I also worked with the team at The Journal to design and strategize their photography exhibition at Foto Wien, by creating a social media marketing strategy and designing printed promotional content.
