Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to apply for the Video Editor position. I have been working with Adobe Premiere Pro for several years and recently deepened my editing skills through an intensive film editing course at Schnitt-Akademie. During the course, I focused on both the technical and dramaturgical aspects of editing and particularly enjoyed working with Adobe After Effects.

My background as a writer and screenwriter has given me a strong understanding of storytelling, structure and dramaturgy. I know how important pacing, rhythm and the selection of the right moments are when turning raw footage into an engaging story.

I also work as a stand-up comedian, which has strengthened my sense of timing, rhythm and storytelling. I enjoy finding the moments that make content engaging and knowing when a pause, cut or change of pace can make a difference.

In addition to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, I have experience with DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer. I am also very interested in social media and current video trends, and I enjoy adapting content to different platforms and audiences.

I am reliable, creative and detail-oriented, and I would love the opportunity to bring my editing skills and storytelling experience to your team.
