I have ten years of experience providing specialized educational enrichment in English, internet technology and the violin. I am a Los Angeles, California native who speaks English, Spanish and basic German. In 2020, I moved to Germany from Spain - where I earned my Master’s Degree in Teaching from the Universidad de Alcalá - Franklin Institute as well as a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualification from Cambridge English.
Prior to relocating to Europe, I received a Master’s Degree in Interactive Content Development from California State University, as well as a Bachelor's in Music and Graphic Design from the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music from Chapman University, Orange County.
In the past, I’ve had a career working with nonprofits on projects related to national educational reform for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, as well as sustainability education for the American Institute of Architects in San Francisco, and parental social justice through Bay Area PLAN in Oakland. My former role as an in-house corporate trainer of new technologies, led to my decision to pivot into teaching full-time.
Today, I work globally as an ESL and IT teacher. My diverse expertise has enabled me to train other teachers, co-workers and students alike, which, led to my personal philosophy to teach learners to become independent problem solvers - like a hacker or a coder. In my personal time, I enjoy showcasing my violin know-how by playing the violin with the Sächsisches Sinfonieorchester Chemnitz e. V. and the Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e.V.
