I hold a PhD in Agriculture with a focus on Agricultural Economics from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. I have conducted her doctoral studies at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Halle, Germany. I obtained my MSc. in Agricultural and Food Economics from Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University Bonn and now a post-doctoral fellow (research affiliate) at the Center for Policy Research and Outreach at Westminster University in Tashkent. I am the principal investigator of the project "Institutions, change mechanisms and impacts in natural resource management of Central Asia (INRESCA)," funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. I previously worked with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan.
