Julia Jenny Kreß

During my studies in applied biology, I had different focuses in microbiology, biochemistry, bionics, synthetic biology and optogenetics. During my Erasmus stay in Helsinki, Finland, I was able to gain experience in anthropology and science communication.

Above all, however, I am very interested in the field of biomimicry. I am extremely fascinated by nature's different strategies to survive, adapt and sustain itself. By co-organising biomimicry workshops, I have been able to share this enthusiasm with interdisciplinary groups and communicate the possibilities of biomimicry.
