I am a 31 years old plant scientist who recently graduated his PhD in Wageningen University. During the last years I've had experience using Java to develop functional-structural plant models and analyzed the data output from model simulations to provide insights into horticultural growth practices. I'm looking for a change to the business world and would like to find my position as java developer or data analyst.
I'm quick at familiarizing myself with new protocols and enjoy working in a team. In my spare time I enjoy bringing groups together for hiking, board games, movie nights or some creative arts. I'm an easygoing person.

During my PhD I've studied plant to plant variation in light interception and photosynthesis in relation to light quality and plant architecture.
Dissertation title: "variability in light absorption and photosynthesis within tomato canopies: a 3D model assisted analysis". I did this by means of both experimentation as well as development and use of functional-structural plant models. Side-tasks included supervising MSc students and assisting in teaching. GroIMP (XL-language: extension language built on top of Java) and R were the main software tools used.
