Mai Mayeg

I am Mai Mayeg Abdelaal, a Master Student of Cognistive in Postdam with a strong foundation in computational linguistics and extensive experience in machine learning and data analysis. Based in Berlin, Germany, I am fluent in English, and have an intermediate proficiency in German (B1 level), and Arabic is my mother tongue.

With a Bachelor's degree in Computational Linguistics from Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, I bring a robust academic background to my professional endeavors. My initial foray into linguistics and phonetics at the University of Alexandria set the stage for my diverse skill set and deep understanding of linguistics.

Throughout my career, I have honed my expertise in programming with Python, R, and Java, and developed proficiency in various machine learning tools such as Gensim, Matplotlib, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. My experience extends to agile project management using Jira, data scraping with tools like urllib, beautifulsoup, and selenium, and data querying using SQL and MongoDB. Additionally, I am skilled in LATEX, HTML, and Git.

I have a rich history of professional experience, including data annotation and machine learning model testing at Comtravo/Tripactions, research assistance at the University of Potsdam, and various roles in data structuring and quality assurance at institutions like Daimler AG and Eberhard Karls University. My work has often involved implementing complex algorithms and performing intricate data analysis, underscoring my problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
