I currently work as a graphic & UI designer, as well as providing freelance services as a digital content creator, muralist, print designer for textiles, and independent artist.

After having experience working in-house for a wide variety of companies over the past 6 years, I have been able to vastly develop my skills in graphic design, copywriting, social media management, branding, print design and other content creation.

My studio, Melody G Studio, can provide any of the following services:

• Murals (interior or exterior) for permanent locations, pop ups, events, festivals, private clients and more. Murals designs can be created from scratch, or to fit the client brief as necessary.
• Graphic and UI Design - creating visuals in-line with brand for web, apps, print, social media and more. At the heart of my work is a passion for creating eye-catching visuals and storytelling, whilst engaging and converting an audience. As well as UX designs for apps and web, I have worked creating graphics for marketing, branding and printed media. Whether it’s vibrant illustrations for a campaign or client-facing presentations, my aim is to create graphics that fit a brief as well as serve a purpose. Clients include Oberlo, Co-Tasker, Handshake, Sampa, Buzzpinky, Resident Furniture, Inkysquid.
• Print design for textiles and homeware, including creating unique original designs according to current trends, editing, licensing and layout work. Clients include Urban Outfitters, Bardot, Rose Greenbaum.
• Painter and designer, creating and selling original works and prints both online and in a variety of stores throughout the UK and internationally.
• Illustration including commissions and brief work.

GRAPHIC & UI DESIGNER Conker | Berlin

Jan 2022 - Present

Duties included creating graphics, wireframes and UX designs for a variety of large scale retail clients, all needing unique app designs and interfaces. Ranged from creating EPOS systems to illustrations for creative task apps. Greatly enhanced UI/UX experience as well as improving on my ability to create unique, attention-grabbing visuals. Gained further experience in Figma and Adobe Suite.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND CONTENT CREATOR Oberlo (Shopify) | Berlin

June 2018 - November 2021 (freelance)

Role consisted of creating graphics and digital content for Oberlo’s social platforms and website, including designing and implementing social media plans. I worked on the rebrand alongside the marketing team and assisted with visual assets. Designed and implemented social media content, growing Instagram followers from 30,000 to 120,000 in one year. Graphic design and Adobe Suite skills greatly enhanced, as well as layout work for various media styles.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER Conscious Cleaning

London June - July 2021 (freelance)

Refined brand guidelines and designed logo and website icons for an eco-friendly cleaning product startup. Built the visual identity alongside founders, and created assets for social channels and packaging. Gained experience in package design and further experience in branding for small businesses.

PRINT & GRAPHIC DESIGNER Etch Studios | London

September 2017 - May 2020

Role consisted of working closely with the design director to identify trends and producing original graphic prints using Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand-painting/drawing. Work also involved creating repeat prints, editing designs to fit client briefs, layout work and dealing with licensing. Produced graphics for the company website and social channels.

Built skills in designing to suit different audiences and briefs. Selected clients include Urban Outfitters, Bardot Australia and Rose Greenbaum NY.

DESIGNER AND EDITOR Contrado & Bags of Love | London

March 2017 – June 2018

Produced visual content across the two fashion and homeware brands, including website and blog images, artist features, guides and product pages, and worked with marketing strategy and SEO daily. A highlight of this role was assisting on photoshoots; coming up with creative concepts and styling the sets and models alongside the artistic director. This provided me with further experience in art direction for editorial, and creating design for different demographics. ​
