Neelakshi Soni

I am an inquisitive and analytical Ph.D. candidate pursuing research in Mathematical, Computational, and Systems Biology (MCSB) from UC Irvine's Center for Complex Biology. As a Bioinformatician professional with interests in next generation sequencing technologies and data analysis, I strive to understand complex biological phenomena specifically in neurodegenerative disorders. As an interdisciplinary researcher motivated by innovation and technical challenges I enjoy identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex datasets.

Area of competency: Metabolomics, genomics and transcriptomics as well as bulk and single-cell techniques and analysis

Area of Interests: Research and Development; Science Communications

Over five years of experience in neuroimmunology and data analysis, particularly investigating microglia's role in various neurodegenerative disorders, with a strong passion for overcoming neurodegeneration.
