Stefan Kühn

I am a Data leader, an applied scientist, a mathematician, experienced in problem identification and -solving, organizing, and leading. I think in models – cause and effect – in order to understand and improve business processes as well as identifying problems or new approaches. I learn and share my learnings and ideas internally via coaching/mentoring/1on1s, and externally through workshops, blog posts, on conferences and meetups.

I enjoy leading and inspiring people, connecting technical topics with vision and mission statements, and building high-performing teams with purpose and end-to-end ownership. With multiple years of experience in leading leaders in Data, Engineering and Product, understanding the needs of my teams and the organization, listening with empathy, and making the people around me better are the keys to success.

My personal focus is on making Data, in particular Data Engineering, Data Science and Machine/Deep Learning, really work for the business. This includes topics like Data & Tech Strategy, Data Governance, and Data-driven product development. It's about growing a Data-first culture and an agile mindset, leveraging Machine Learning, Data Visualization and Business Analytics as well as Product Discovery and Lean Principles.
