Nexi Checkout is Nexi’s eCommerce solution, helping merchants across the DACH and Nordic markets deliver seamless, high-converting payment experiences. Our Product team works closely with engineering and commercial stakeholders to continuously optimise conversion, reliability, and customer experience across different countries and payment methods.

We’re now looking for a Data Analyst Student Assistant to support the Product team with insights that drive better product decisions.

What You’ll Do

As a student assistant in our Product team, you’ll help turn data into actionable insights. As we are in the early stage of building out our data foundation, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working hands-on with data and enjoys building structure from the ground up.

You will

• Explore and analyze usage and payment data across our product (e.g. conversion, drop-off, payment method performance, feature usage)
• Translate business and product questions into KPIs and analyses
• Create clear, simple data visualizations to communicate insights
• Support the Product team with dashboards and recurring reporting on key product metrics
• Support ad-hoc analyses for features and experiments
• Support data quality checks and consistency across sources
• Translate analyses into clear insights and simple visuals for non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (e.g. Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering, AI or a data-focused business programme)
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in product and user behaviour
• Hands-on experience with Python (pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn) or R

Comfortable writing SQL queries

• Basic understanding of data visualisation principles (tool-agnostic)
• Familiarity with data management concepts (e.g. ETL, databases) or willingness to learn
• Curious, structured, and comfortable working in an evolving data setup
• Proactive approach and a problem-solving mindset
• Structured, detail-oriented, and curious
• Able to explain insights clearly to a non-technical audience
• Comfortable working in an international setup (English required)
