Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on BI and Data Engineering Consultant to strengthen our existing team. The primary focus is designing, building and maintaining the data foundation supporting reporting, analytics and digital solutions across our area.

The consultant should be able to operate independently and work across Databricks, Power BI and the Power Platform, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Start would be as soon as possible. At least for 6 month, maybe more fulltime.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and backend architecture in Databricks
• Build, optimise and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models and datasets
• Develop integrations, data transformations and reporting data structures
• Ensure data quality, performance, scalability and governance
• Troubleshoot and optimise reporting and analytics solutions
• Design and maintain supporting Power Platform components, including Dataverse data models, tables, relationships and security structures
• Build and maintain integrations between Databricks, Power BI, Dataverse and other enterprise systems
• Maintain technical documentation and solution architecture
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics and automation needs and translate them into technical solutions

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support Power Apps development and enhancements when required
• Assist with Power Automate workflows connected to reporting solutions
• Support deployment and lifecycle management of Power Platform solutions
• Support exploration and implementation of AI-enabled solutions within reporting and analytics

Mandatory Skills

Required Skills • Strong data engineering and data modelling capabilities • Advanced SQL • Extensive Databricks experience • Strong Power BI experience, including semantic models, datasets and performance optimisation • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse) • Experience integrating enterprise data sources and analytics solutions • Strong stakeholder collaboration skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in large enterprise environments • Experience with Azure-based data platforms • Experience building, training or implementing AI agents and AI-assisted solutions (e.g.

Microsoft

Copilot, ChatGPT, Djinni or similar) • Experience in regulated industries is considered an advantage
