Senior Data Engineer (Quantexa & SAS Migration)

🔍 The Mission

• Support a Tier‑1 bank’s Financial Crime Technology transformation.
• Migrate legacy SAS-based detection scenarios into a modern PySpark/Python/SQL stack.
• Build the data foundations powering Quantexa Payments and contextual decision intelligence.
• Operate within a GDPR-heavy, cross‑border data environment requiring precision and auditability.

🧩 Responsibilities

• Lead SAS → PySpark migration for complex transaction‑monitoring scenarios.
• Engineer scalable data models feeding the Quantexa platform (entity resolution + network generation).
• Translate regulatory compliance rules into efficient, distributed code.
• Perform alert reconciliation ensuring zero regression between SAS and new pipelines.
• Build and maintain AWS/Databricks production pipelines aligned with strict DevOps/security controls.
• Guarantee full data lineage, integrity, and audit readiness for regulatory reporting.

🛠️ Technical Profile

• Expert in PySpark, Python, SQL.
• Strong experience with Databricks and AWS data services.
• Proven background in Transaction Monitoring (AML, sanctions, fraud scenarios).
• Solid DevOps mindset: CI/CD, Terraform, automated testing, clean code.
• Quantexa experience highly advantageous; strong FinCrime engineers also considered.
