We are seeking an experienced Network / System Engineer to help design, analyze, implement, and support the network infrastructure that powers our ISP services.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on skills with routers, switches, and firewalls, a solid foundation in networking fundamentals (CCNA level or higher), and experience working with TR-069 and TR-369 (USP) management systems.
As a Network/System Engineer specializing in Network Optimization, you will also play a pivotal role in enhancing Wi-Fi performance and elevating customer experiences related to broadband services In addition, you will actively support a strategic call reduction initiative focused on broadband-related customer inquiries. This includes analyzing root causes of repeat calls, identifying systemic performance issues, optimizing CPE configurations and Wi-Fi performance, and collaborating with customer support and product teams to reduce avoidable customer contacts and improve first-time resolution.
Design, implement, and optimize networking solutions for consumer and SMB customers.
Own and improve broadband performance across CPE, Wi-Fi, and access layers.
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewall platforms.
Manage and optimize device management systems (TR-069 / TR-369 USP).
Analyze network traffic and performance using tools such as Wireshark.
Identify systemic performance issues driving repeat customer calls.
Lead technical initiatives aimed at broadband call reduction.
Improve Wi-Fi stability, coverage, and real-world performance.
Work with fiber and access technologies supporting high-speed connectivity.
Automate analysis and optimization tasks through scripting where relevant.
Monitor network KPIs and proactively drive service improvements.
Act as technical advisor for broadband performance across internal teams.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in an ISP, telecommunications company, or similar service provider environment
Proven experience in network engineering or systems optimization, with a focus on Wi-Fi and broadband technologies.
CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
Proficient in configuring and managing routers and switches for consumer and SMB applications.
Strong understanding of firewall technologies and best practices.
Familiarity with management systems and protocols, specifically TR-069 and TR-369 (USP).
Experience with fiber optic networking and related technologies.
Proficient in using debugging tools such as Wireshark for network analysis and troubleshooting.
Capable of developing scripts as needed to automate tasks and improve network performance analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience in translating complex technical challenges into actionable solutions.
A commitment to effectively executing tasks and ensuring timely delivery.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent in Danish (spoken and written).
Proficiency in English.
Candidate must currently reside in Denmark.
Experience with additional networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent)
Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, Cacti)
Knowledge of IPv6, QoS, and network automation.
Background in ISP operations or service provider-scale networking.
