Quantitative Analyst

Join a startup where you don't just run models, you help shape the company.

We're a newly founded power trading company based in Aarhus, specializing in European intraday power markets. Since launching in autumn 2025, we've built a lean, high-performing team of five and are already actively trading across multiple markets, with plans to expand significantly.

We've invested heavily in building a strong data and modelling foundation, and our ambition is to develop that into a truly data-driven, algorithmic trading operation. We're looking for a Quantitative Analyst to help take us there.

This isn't a role where you slot into an existing machine. You'll be the sixth person at the table, with a direct voice in how we grow: which markets we enter, how we evolve our models, and how we build on what we have today. If you want real ownership and the chance to shape something that's already moving, alongside a tight, experienced team, read on.

What you'll be doing

  • Get to know our markets inside out, and help identify the next ones we should enter.
  • Design, build, and backtest predictive models and algorithmic trading strategies on top of our existing data and modelling infrastructure.
  • Own the full lifecycle of your models, from idea to production to performance evaluation, and iterate fast.
  • Work across the full stack of our quantitative pipeline: data, features, models, signals, execution.
  • Contribute to our shared Python codebase with an emphasis on quality, consistency, and scalable development practices.
  • Help shape our technical direction. At this stage, your decisions influence the architecture, the tooling, and the way we work.

We imagine that you

  • Have strong quantitative modelling skills (statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, engineering, physics, or similar).
  • Have solid coding skills. We work primarily in Python, but the specific language matters less than the ability to think in code.
  • Have experience with, or a genuine curiosity to learn about, energy markets, particularly European power.
  • Are comfortable working with data pipelines, time series, and real-time data.
  • We're open on experience level. What matters most is the quality of your thinking and your willingness to take ownership.

Personal fit - this matters just as much to us

  • You're motivated and self-driven. In a startup, nobody is going to hand you a task list every morning.
  • You have a collaborative mindset and care about helping others succeed, not just shipping your own work.
  • You thrive with autonomy and responsibility, and you don't need layers of process to do your best work.
  • You're direct and honest with your colleagues, in a constructive way.
  • You're someone who fits well into a small team, both professionally and personally. We're building a culture, not just a company.

What you can expect from us

  • A founding-stage role with genuine impact. Your work will directly shape our trading strategies, market expansion, and technical direction.
  • A strong data and modelling infrastructure already in production. You won't be starting from scratch, but you will have the freedom to take it further.
  • The opportunity to grow with the company as we scale.
  • A small, experienced team that values openness, trust, and honest feedback.
  • High autonomy and minimal bureaucracy.

We believe the best decisions are made by the people closest to the work.

  • A central Aarhus location and a work culture where personality and team fit come first.
