Jesper Kilbak

I am an ambitious person with a soon-to-be Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and experience as a Clinical Trial Manager. Over the past 15 months, my extensive thesis has involved leading a scientific study in a collaboration between the University of Copenhagen and Hvidovre Hospitals Intensive Care Unit. My inquisitive nature has driven me to enhance my knowledge through a diverse range of courses, including medicinal chemistry, human pathology, protocol writing, and quality assessment.

As a result of my master thesis I have experience with

1. Writing project protocols and efficiently communicating with authorities such as the Ethycal committee and data protection authorities, to obtain approval.
2. Effectively communicating complex scientific information to various audiences, from acedemic to layman terms.
3. Adhering to local and international standards such as ICH-GCP.
4. Wrinting funding applications and securing 130.000 DKK for laboratory testing and equipment.
5. Obtaining informed consent from patients and relatives for inclusion in the project. 
6. Coordinating CRFs electronically using Redcap.
7. Working effectively with an interdisciplinary team and understanding different professional perspectives. 
8. Collecting and preparing blood and urine samples from critically ill patients.
9. Working in a laboratory enviroment and conducting tests including Lipid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry and Elisa Assay Chromatography tests.

The courses provided during my education in Clinical Nutrition have given me a deep insight in human metabolism; both in healthy subjects and during critical illness.
