I am currently studying for a second master's degree in psychotherapy studies at NSPC in London, which is part of my training in existential psychotherapy, which entails CBT and psychodynamic practical skills in order to critically evaluate each case with a variety of methodologies that will accompany existential phenomenological reasoning.
I moved to Copenhagen in December 2021 and have since worked to settle into the scandinavic culture and philosophy. I currently work as a supervisor in a retail store, overseeing eight employees. This experience has helped me integrate easily into the Danish working culture and develop my Danish language skills.
Dear ComPsych,
I am writing to express my interest in working for your company as a remote guidance specialist. I believe that my professional and personal skills can contribute to your company's requirements for conducting remote clinical intakes regarding mental health issues and provide additional referrals to the appropriate available resources.
I obtained a master's degree in clinical psychology in 2019, after which I completed my training on domestic violence and sexual abuse at Women's Aid in London in 2019. Since the beginning of my studies, I have had a strong interest in trauma and its effects on women and children who have survived domestic and/or sexual abuse. What fascinates me is creating a trusting and dependable environment with my clients, assessing the risk factors and strengths of the person, their cultural and religious background, and attempting to sufficiently support them in pursuing a more authentic way of being.
Through my training, I enjoyed learning about the different cultures and customs that affect the relationship dynamics of expats and minorities in order to work efficiently with inclusivity and diversion.
I was employed for two years as an intern at the Society of Social Psychiatry's outpatient day centre in Athens. Here I was in charge of interviewing new intake patients, doing a risk assessment of their case, and proposing a compatible professional for their needs. Furthermore, as part of my thesis, I have worked with planning and conducting qualitative interviews and using the data to identify the strengths and distinctive personality traits of people with secondary trauma.
I will be able to use these skills to attain relevant information and refer to compatible services according to the client's true needs. Additionally, I am familiar with creating an accurate report for each case, given the opportunity to work in your company.
