Project Experience

Laser Tool Changer | AAU Project

• Designed and implemented an automated robotic tool changer and docking system for lasers that reduced tool changeover time from 30mins to 1min, resulting in increased production efficiency.
• Developed and executed testing plans for the tool changer and docking station, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with applicable specifications.
• Deployed virtual commissioning to establish key functionalities of the setup, which enabled the design of the Docking Station and development of the system architecture to be done side by side.
• Conducted simulations and modeling of the tool changer and docking system using 3dexperience and Fusion360 to optimize its design and functionality.
• Developed and tested control algorithms in 3dexperience (simulation) and on Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC (system), with knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
• Maintained test setups, tools, and equipment and calibrated the test equipment and performed confirmatory tests and test reports.
• Systematized, analyzed, and documented test data, ensuring compliance with agreed specifications.
• Worked and documented using agreed methods and tools, documentation of calculations, simulations, measurements, test results, etc.

FIsh Detection robot | AAu Project 

• Developed a deep learning-based solution to classify and localize Tuna fish hauled on long-line vessels using computer vision techniques, demonstrating expertise in computer vision.
• Implemented and evaluated various deep learning algorithms, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Faster R-CNN, showcasing proficiency in machine learning and artificial intelligence for computer vision applications.
• Preprocessed the dataset by applying data augmentation techniques and optimizing hyperparameters, demonstrating strong data analysis and optimization skills for computer vision tasks.
• Conducted extensive experiments to evaluate the robustness and generalizability of the models, including testing on unseen data and analyzing the effect of different hyperparameters on performance, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
