My professional life main motivation is to use my abilities for good, beyond making profit. My expertise includes implementing statistical methods and the measurement of complex constructs. I enjoy using my expertise in statistical and research methods to solve real-world problems, creating new knowledge and understanding better and deeper the phenomena I am observing. Mentoring and teaching have been always a passion and a pleasure I had in substantial part of my work.
2022 - Chief data scientist at BioScavenge ApS. As the first person to hold this position in the company and the fourth employee, I mapped and created a digital understanding and infrastructure to support the business and operations goals and processes. Since I arrived and with my substantial contribution the company has tripled its value, and won its second and third clients, with me as either IT specialist or ML expert.
I manage and am a co-supervisor in the master thesis at DTU of a junior data scientist.
2019 - 2021 post-Doctoral fellow at Dr. Giora Alexandron Group: “Computational Approaches in Science Education”, Department of Science Teaching, Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS). Focusing on assessment and evaluation using learning analytics of academic online learning in massive open courses (MOOCs). In this position we won two grants from the Israeli Council for Higher Education (CHE) via the Weizmann Data Science Research Center.
2015 - 2019 Online Education Director & Multimedia Studios Manager, Academic secretariate and rectorate office, Hebrew University, Jerusalem (HUJI).
2010 - 2020 Ph.D., Department of Statistics, HUJI. Thesis title: “Implementation of an Adaptive Functional Regression Estimator Using Gaussian Kernels and Lasso”, advisor: Prof. Ritov Ya’acov.
2008 - 2017 Honored lecturer and TA at various statistics and probability courses, at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, in four different faculties, for all academic levels.
