Backend Engineer (Python/AWS/Kubernetes)

• *Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain core backend systems for the Opta Vision platform.
• Own and evolve the platform’s infrastructure (Python, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Support smooth, scalable integration of CV/ML data pipelines.
• Drive architectural decisions and improve development workflows across squads.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify, shape and deliver technical solutions.
• Help elevate the overall engineering culture through mentorship and code reviews.
• *Required Qualifications
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems in Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of large technical areas.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with distributed squads.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with ML or data experts.
• *Desired Qualifications
• Understanding of Machine Learning or Computer Vision workflows.
• Interest in football or experience working with sports data.
