Python Backend Developer (FastAPI & MongoDB) at BairesDev In this role, you'll build and maintain a clinical health-data pipeline backend using async Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB, where correctness, security, and interoperability are non-negotiable. What You'll Do
- Build and maintain async backend services using Python 3.12 and FastAPI.
- Manage persistence layer using MongoDB, ideally with Beanie ODM.
- Implement and maintain OAuth/OIDC and JWT-based authentication working across Keycloak and Descope in a provider-agnostic way.
- Work with Docker and docker-compose, debugging build and runtime issues in containerized environments.
- Contribute to a clinical health-data pipeline and MCP server implementation.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python 3.12 and async FastAPI development.
- Experience with MongoDB, ideally using Beanie ODM for async persistence.
- Solid understanding of OAuth/OIDC and JWT-based authentication.
- Comfort working with Docker and docker-compose, including debugging containerized environments.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
