Accountant

Role Description The Accountant role at Confidential Careers is a full-time, on-site position based in Qesm El Sheikh Zaid. The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. This role includes reconciling bank statements and accounts, monitoring payables and receivables, and ensuring invoices, payments, and expense reports are processed correctly and on time.

The Accountant will support month-end and year-end closing activities, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and local regulatory requirements, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external auditors as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Candidates should possess experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting financial planning activities.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit support, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to local laws.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in using accounting and ERP software, along with solid Excel abilities for data analysis and reporting.
• Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with confidential financial information with integrity.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, enabling clear reporting to management and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus, as is prior experience in corporate or professional services environments.
