We are looking for an experienced and motivated Android Developer – Kotlin to join our highly collaborative technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that deliver secure, reliable, and engaging user experiences.

Job Description:

As an Android Developer, you will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable mobile applications aligned with business and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
Build responsive, scalable, and user-friendly mobile interfaces using Android SDK, Android Jetpack, and Material Design.
Translate business and technical requirements into high-quality mobile solutions.
Implement clean, maintainable, and reusable code using appropriate architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Work with technologies such as Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, Room, Hilt/Dagger, and Firebase.
Develop unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Troubleshoot application crashes, performance issues, integration problems, and production defects.
Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, QA, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Support CI/CD processes, application releases, and deployment activities.
Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure mobile applications follow secure coding, accessibility, usability, and data protection standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven professional experience in native Android application development.
Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
Good knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Android Jetpack.
Experience building and maintaining enterprise or customer-facing mobile applications.
Experience integrating Android applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Strong understanding of Android architecture and software design principles.
Experience with unit testing and UI testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Retrofit, Room, Hilt, Dagger, and Firebase.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile application release processes.
Experience with Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, mobile analytics, and performance monitoring.
Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
Understanding of mobile security, secure coding, encryption, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
Experience publishing applications through Google Play Store or enterprise mobile distribution platforms.
